SOMAYER - Fusing leatherwork and metal/jewellery to form utilitarian jewellery and bags.

Somayer is a collaborative project of passion for three makers, Ruth Claydon - Mudlarking jeweller and owner of Moth & Magpie, Elliot Roberts, a leather worker archeology graduate & historical clothing lover and Samantha Somers, sculptor, painter & history nerd.

We release a few small batches of leather pieces a year, each one unique in its embellishments and fixtures and in their hand painted, hand stitched work.

These 'micro-collections' are made with our over-enthusiasm for affectionately repurposing abandoned materials and with the concept of a small workshop that has the freedom to express and create with no 'retail' or mass marketing pressure.​​​

Pieces will be posted here as and when available. We don't generally do commissions as we're all committed to our own separate businesses but you can always ask - if we can fit in extra work we will, but apologies in advance if we are too busy.
