ARTISTS BIO
​​
My name is Samantha Somers & I'm a largely self-taught figurative artist. I create line works, sculptures & paintings all on the subject of 'the body in motion'.
As a ballet nerd, largely the subjects of the work are ballet dancers & choreography & this passion extends to things like theatrical combat, burlesque, historical dance & contemporary dance.

My hope is that these pieces create a way for people to enjoy figurative art & dance outside of the theatre & bring it to life in their own lives & spaces, keeping them connected to their own passion for the arts & the joy it brings them & in turn I hope this fuels support for the artists I study, who inspire me so much.​

ORDERS & DELIVERY - We're in a rural location so I mail out pieces once a week on a Thursday - if you have an urgent order we will try to arrange a faster delivery where possible.

Up & coming exhibitions
Now taking bookings for showing my dance artworks for 2026 onwards & the works are available for showing in small venues, from Winter '25 onward, with some limited pieces available for retail stockists (please enquire to request works) Thank you.

OPENING TIMES - Mon-Fri. I have daily admin sessions & can generally reply 8.30-10 A.M & 5-6 P.M, I am 'out of office' working in the art studio between these times so bare with me.
I keep stock updated but occasionally a gallery will take a piece which I have photographs of on my site & so you may need to buy via that particular gallery, their details will be beside the listing.
Stockists will rarely have time to notify me right away when a piece has sold, so every now & then an alternative may have to be sourced/made from either my web store or another stockist.
