MY SCULPTURE - Antiques & findings repurposed in to sculptures echoing the curio cabinet of the 19th century

In up-cycling old treasures & jewellery pieces I am working to my environmental desires, as well as creating a narrative from within an objects deterioration or natural state.

MY PAINTINGS - A deconstructed reflection on 19th century intaglio collections & the trend for miniatures, cameos & 'keepsake pieces' 

My paintings study elements of contemporary humanity & in echoing the subjects of Grand Tour souvenirs, I work to create an archeological sentiment of past tense to reflect a preciousness in our modern lives.

As with all of my pieces, through discussing the value of human life, rather than tackling the future in self deprecation my pieces leave room to contemplate hope & progress
